ABB mustard "...et Mostertpöttche." "Aechter Düsseldorfer Mostert" made Düsseldorf famous in Germany and neighboring countries in the 18th century for its particularly spicy and hot mustard. The Düsseldorfer Mostert and its gray pot with the blue company logo, which includes the Düsseldorf anchor and the three letters ABB from the company owner at the time, Adam Bernhard Bergrath, became a world-famous Düsseldorf specialty. Here you can see the ceramic pot. One of the greatest admirers of "et Mostertpöttche" was Vincent van Gogh. In 1884 he captured it in oil on canvas.
