Nebbiolo grapes are the basis of the great red Piedmont wines, Barolo, Barbaresco, Gattinara and Bramaterra. In 2010, 'Le Pianelle' launched a modern interpretation of this grape variety, a Rosato made from over 90% Nebbiolo and just under 10% Vespolina and Croatina. The grapes are harvested by hand in selected plots of the vineyard, destemmed and 90% fermented in steel barrels at low temperatures. 10% of the grapes ferment in Stockinger oak barrels.
The result is a rosé wine full of character that is ideal as an accompaniment to food and can also be enjoyed for three to five years.
Al Posto dei Fiori – 'Instead of flowers' - That's what it's called, and its scent is captivating. Excellent in both summer and winter, the taste is mineral with clear aromas of wild strawberries and raspberries. It also has light plum and spicy notes with, for a rosé, impressive body and length. A great wine!
In screw cap since 2021.
