The 100% Cortese, grown in the south-western region of Barbaresco, is fermented in French barriques. The vines, which are around 30 years old, are grown on an area of around 1 hectare with limestone-clay soil. One of the most famous wines made from this grape variety is called Gavi. There it is named after the region. Here, however, it is simply called Cortese after its grape.
